- 2 Tbsp extra-virgin olive oil, divided
- 6 Tbsp unsalted butter, divided
- 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
- 4 cloves garlic, finely grated
- Kosher salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 4 large sprigs thyme, divided
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Blanch green beans in salted boiling water for about 3 minutes; drain and cool.
- Sauté half of the sliced mushrooms in a skillet with olive oil and butter until browned. Repeat with remaining mushrooms.
- In a saucepan, create a roux with flour and butter, then gradually whisk in milk and cream until thickened. Stir in garlic and Parmesan.
- Combine green beans and sautéed mushrooms in a baking dish; pour sauce over top.
