  • 1/4 cup Heavy Cream

  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 cup Kataifi (Shredded Phyllo Dough)
  • 1/2 cup Pistachio Cream/Butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the salted butter until it turns golden brown and has a nutty aroma. Let it cool slightly.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and cooled brown butter; mix well.
  4. Add the egg, heavy cream, and vanilla extract; stir until smooth.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips gently.
  7. Press half of the dough into the prepared pan.
  8. Toast kataifi in a separate pan until golden brown; mix with pistachio cream and spread over the dough layer.
  9. Top with remaining dough evenly.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown; let cool completely before slicing into bars.
