Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 quarts water
  • 1 (12-ounce) can beef broth (optional)
  • 3 tablespoons Creole Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 medium yellow onion
  • 1 large lemon
  • 1 lb baby potatoes
  • 1 lb pre-cooked snow crab leg clusters
  • 11 ½ lbs jumbo shrimp
  • 46 ears sweet corn on the cob
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 10 cloves garlic
  • lemon juice
  • Old Bay seasoning
  • parsley
  • smoked paprika
  • hot sauce, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large stockpot over medium-high heat, combine water and beef broth (if using). Bring to a boil and season with Cajun and Old Bay seasonings as well as hot sauce. Add sliced onion and lemon wedges; boil for 15 minutes.
  2. Add baby potatoes to the pot; cook for 15-20 minutes until tender.
  3. Gently add snow crab clusters, shrimp, and corn. Ensure all ingredients are submerged; boil for an additional 5-7 minutes until shrimp turns pink.
  4. For the garlic butter sauce: In a small saucepan on medium heat, melt butter and combine with minced garlic, lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, parsley, smoked paprika, and hot sauce. Simmer for about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper. Use a spider strainer to remove seafood from the pot onto the baking sheet; discard onion/lemon bits. Pour garlic butter sauce over seafood and toss gently to coat before serving.
