Ingredients
- 2–3 medium apples, thinly sliced
- 1 sheet puff pastry dough
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/4 cup caramel sauce
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 cups warm water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare a bowl of warm water mixed with lemon juice.
- Thinly slice the apples and soak them in the lemon water bath for 10 minutes.
- Roll out the puff pastry dough on a floured surface until about 1/8 inch thick and cut into strips approximately 1.5 inches wide.
- Drain the apple slices and arrange them along one edge of each pastry strip, brushing with melted butter as you go. Fold over the bottom of the strip to slightly encase the apples.
- Carefully roll up each strip from one end to form rose shapes and place them in a muffin tin.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown, then let cool on a wire rack.
- Drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.
