  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 12 oz uncooked chow mein noodles
  • 2 cups cabbage
  • 1 large carrot (julienned)
  • 1/2 batch green onions
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 4 Tbsp oyster sauce
  • 3 Tbsp low sodium soy sauce
  • 3 Tbsp light sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 Tbsp corn starch
  • 1 Tbsp granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sauce by whisking together oyster sauce, sugar, sesame oil, soy sauce, chicken broth, and corn starch in a mixing bowl.
  2. Cook chow mein noodles per package instructions; drain and rinse with cold water.
  3. Heat oil in a wok or large skillet over medium heat. Cut chicken into strips and cook until golden brown (5-7 minutes). Remove from pan.
  4. In the same pan, sauté carrots, cabbage, and garlic for about 3-5 minutes until softened.
  5. Return cooked chicken and noodles to the pan. Pour in the prepared sauce and stir well for another 2 minutes until heated through.
  6. Serve hot garnished with chopped green onions.
