  • 15 oz can diced tomatoes
  • 15 oz can tomato sauce
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 15 oz can Great Northern beans, rinsed and drained
  • 15 oz can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 cup ditalini pasta
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a Dutch oven, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned; drain excess fat and set aside.
  2. Sauté diced carrots, onion, celery, and minced garlic in the same pot until softened.
  3. Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and cooked beef.
  4. Add chicken broth and rinsed beans; mix well and simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Incorporate ditalini pasta, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper; simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
