  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 can (14 oz) tomato puree
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and sugar to taste
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons plain yogurt
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely minced or grated
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken in yogurt, lemon juice, garam masala, turmeric, cumin, smoked paprika, ginger, minced garlic, and salt for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter and cook marinated chicken until browned (8-10 minutes). Remove from skillet.
  3. Sauté chopped onions in the same skillet until translucent. Add tomato paste and puree; bring to a simmer.
  4. Return chicken to skillet and stir in heavy cream along with chili powder; let simmer on low heat for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Prepare garlic sauce by whisking together mayonnaise, yogurt, minced garlic, and lemon juice until smooth.
  6. Serve hot with fries and warm naan drizzled with garlic sauce.
