  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • Garlic naan for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the diced chicken and cook until browned (about 5-7 minutes). Remove the chicken and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add chopped turkey bacon (if using) until crispy. Stir in onions and garlic; cook until softened (about 3-4 minutes). Add sliced mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture.
  3. Sprinkle flour over the mixture in the skillet; stir for about 1 minute. Gradually whisk in chicken broth and bring to a simmer until thickened.
  4. Return cooked chicken to the skillet; combine well and let simmer for another 5 minutes.
  5. Serve hot with garlic naan, rice, or crispy fries.
