  • 2 chicken breasts, cut into 1" pieces
  • 8 oz cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • ½ medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ⅔ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup full-fat sour cream
  • 3 tbsp olive oil, divided
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • Flour, for dredging

Instructions

  1. Season chicken pieces with garlic powder, salt, and pepper; dredge lightly in flour.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken until browned on all sides; set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté mushrooms and onions until golden brown.
  4. Stir in Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and minced garlic; cook for 1 minute.
  5. Add chicken broth; scrape up browned bits from the pan. Return chicken to the skillet; simmer for an additional 2 minutes.
  6. Reduce heat to low; mix in sour cream until warmed through without boiling.
