Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts, cut into 1" pieces
- 8 oz cremini mushrooms, sliced
- ½ medium onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ⅔ cup chicken broth
- ½ cup full-fat sour cream
- 3 tbsp olive oil, divided
- 1 tbsp butter
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- Flour, for dredging
Instructions
- Season chicken pieces with garlic powder, salt, and pepper; dredge lightly in flour.
- Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken until browned on all sides; set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté mushrooms and onions until golden brown.
- Stir in Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and minced garlic; cook for 1 minute.
- Add chicken broth; scrape up browned bits from the pan. Return chicken to the skillet; simmer for an additional 2 minutes.
- Reduce heat to low; mix in sour cream until warmed through without boiling.
