Ingredients
- 12 fresh oysters (cleaned and on the half shell)
- 6 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- Sea salt (to taste)
- Freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to high heat (about 500°F / 260°C).
- In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in lemon juice, lemon zest, parsley, sea salt, and black pepper; remove from heat.
- Place oysters on the grill with flat sides up. Close the lid and cook for 2–3 minutes until they start to curl at the edges.
- Spoon about 1 teaspoon of the lemon butter sauce onto each oyster. Close the lid again and cook for another 1–2 minutes until the butter is sizzling.
- Carefully remove oysters using tongs and serve immediately with lemon wedges and extra parsley.
