Ingredients
- 12 oz linguine or spaghetti
- 1 lb large raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1½ tbsp Old Bay seasoning, divided
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice and zest of 1 lemon
- ½ cup reserved pasta water
- ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Cook the pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
- Toss shrimp with 1 tablespoon of Old Bay seasoning, salt, and olive oil until well coated.
- Sear shrimp in a skillet over medium-high heat for about 1–2 minutes on each side until cooked through; set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium, add butter and garlic; cook until fragrant (1–2 minutes).
- Stir in lemon juice, zest, remaining Old Bay seasoning, and reserved pasta water; mix well.
- Add cooked pasta and seared shrimp to the skillet; toss until evenly coated and warmed through.
- Serve hot, garnished with parsley and lemon wedges if desired.
