Ingredients
- 5–6 ripe peaches
- 1 stick (8 tablespoons) salted butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 4 tablespoons salted butter
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F. Melt the cubed butter in a 9×13 inch baking dish for about 10 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, 3/4 cup brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Stir in milk and vanilla until just combined.
- Toss peach wedges with remaining brown sugar and maple syrup in another bowl.
- Layer half the peach mixture over melted butter in the dish; pour batter on top without stirring; add remaining peaches on top.
- Bake for 50-55 minutes until set and golden brown.
- For maple butter, combine additional butter and maple syrup in a pan; boil for two minutes before removing from heat.
- Let cool slightly before serving with maple butter and ice cream.
