Description

Oven-Baked Cabbage Burgers are a delicious and healthy alternative to traditional burgers, perfect for anyone seeking a low-carb meal option without sacrificing flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 small head of cabbage (cut into thick slices)
  • 1 ½ lbs ground beef (or ground turkey)
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 egg (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice the cabbage into thick rounds (about ½ inch). Brush both sides with olive oil and arrange on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef (or turkey), onion, garlic, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and egg (if using). Mix until well combined.
  4. Shape the meat mixture into patties and press onto each cabbage slice.
  5. Bake for about 25 minutes, then sprinkle cheese on top and broil for an additional 3–5 minutes until melted.
  6. Serve garnished with fresh herbs and your choice of dipping sauces.
