- 1 small head of cabbage (cut into thick slices)
 - 1 ½ lbs ground beef (or ground turkey)
 - 1 small onion (finely chopped)
 - 2 cloves garlic (minced)
 - 1 tsp salt
 - ½ tsp black pepper
 - 1 tsp smoked paprika
 - ½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
 - 2 tbsp olive oil
 - 1 egg (optional)
 
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
 - Slice the cabbage into thick rounds (about ½ inch). Brush both sides with olive oil and arrange on the prepared baking sheet.
 - In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef (or turkey), onion, garlic, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and egg (if using). Mix until well combined.
 - Shape the meat mixture into patties and press onto each cabbage slice.
 - Bake for about 25 minutes, then sprinkle cheese on top and broil for an additional 3–5 minutes until melted.
 - Serve garnished with fresh herbs and your choice of dipping sauces.
