  • 1 cup crispy cooked turkey bacon
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan (for topping)
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Add diced onion and cook until soft. Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional minute. Add marinara sauce and crumbled turkey bacon, season with spices, and let simmer for 10 minutes.
  2. For the béchamel, melt butter in a saucepan, whisk in flour, then gradually add milk until thickened. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese and season to taste.
  3. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a baking dish, layer meat sauce, cooked noodles, béchamel, mozzarella, and cheddar cheese. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used; top with extra cheese.
  4. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes; uncover and bake for another 15 minutes until bubbly.
