  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 13 tsp milk, as needed

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In one bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, ground nutmeg, ground cloves, ground cardamom, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix the canola oil, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar until smooth; add in eggs, pumpkin puree, and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture until just blended.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
  7. For frosting, beat together softened cream cheese and butter; mix in powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth.
  8. Once completely cooled, spread the cream cheese frosting generously over the loaf using a spatula or knife.
