- 6 tbsp unsalted butter (for caramel)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream (for caramel)
- 1 tsp sea salt (for caramel)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C).
- Mix graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter in a bowl. Press firmly into a springform pan and bake for 10 minutes; allow to cool.
- Combine sliced apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, and flour; layer over cooled crust.
- Beat cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth; add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla and sour cream. Pour over the apple layer.
- Bake for about 60-70 minutes until almost set; cool completely before refrigerating for at least 4 hours.
- For salted caramel, melt sugar over medium heat until amber; stir in butter, then slowly add cream while mixing. Remove from heat and stir in salt.
