  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 (14 oz) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil for searing
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour for naan
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1 tbsp melted butter for cooking
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely minced

Instructions

  1. Season and sear the beef in oil until browned. Set aside.
  2. Sauté onions, garlic, and ginger until fragrant.
  3. Add spices and cook briefly to release flavors.
  4. Return beef to the pot; add tomatoes, broth, coconut milk, and seasonings.
  5. Slow cook on low for 3-4 hours until tender.
  6. For naan, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, yogurt, and warm milk into dough.
  7. Shape into ovals and cook in a skillet until golden brown.
