Ingredients
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp chili powder
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp cumin
- ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 1 ripe avocado
- ½ cup Greek yogurt or sour cream
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- Salt to taste
- Water as needed for consistency
- 6 small corn or flour tortillas
- 1 cup red cabbage, shredded
- ½ cup carrot, shredded
- 1 small jalapeño, thinly sliced (optional)
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
- Lime wedges for serving
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine shrimp with olive oil, spices, and lime juice. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
- For the avocado crema, blend avocado, Greek yogurt or sour cream, lime juice, garlic, cilantro, and salt until smooth. Adjust consistency with water if needed.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook marinated shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque.
- Warm tortillas in a skillet or microwave. Assemble by adding shredded cabbage and carrot to each tortilla, top with shrimp and avocado crema.
