Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • ½ cup Greek yogurt or sour cream
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed for consistency
  • 6 small corn or flour tortillas
  • 1 cup red cabbage, shredded
  • ½ cup carrot, shredded
  • 1 small jalapeño, thinly sliced (optional)
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish
  • Lime wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine shrimp with olive oil, spices, and lime juice. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. For the avocado crema, blend avocado, Greek yogurt or sour cream, lime juice, garlic, cilantro, and salt until smooth. Adjust consistency with water if needed.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook marinated shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque.
  4. Warm tortillas in a skillet or microwave. Assemble by adding shredded cabbage and carrot to each tortilla, top with shrimp and avocado crema.
  5. Serve with lime wedges and enjoy!
