- 500g chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- 3 tbsp soy sauce (for the sauce)
- 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional)
- 3 cups cooked white rice
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, toss chicken pieces with soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil until evenly coated.
- Heat a wok or large pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook for about 5-7 minutes until fully cooked and browned. Remove from the pan.
- In the same pan, stir-fry minced garlic, grated ginger, and sliced bell peppers for about 3-4 minutes until they’re tender yet crisp.
- Return the chicken to the pan and add soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, honey, and chili flakes (if using). Stir until everything is well combined and glossy.
- Serve hot over warm cooked rice and garnish with chopped green onions.
