  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 3 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups dark chocolate (chopped or chips)
  • Sea salt flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare hard caramel and allow it to cool before chopping into bits.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together brown sugar, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, sea salt, and flour.
  4. In another bowl, cream together butter and sugars until smooth. Add eggs one at a time and mix well followed by vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually combine dry ingredients into wet mixture without overmixing. Fold in chopped dark chocolate and caramel bits.
