Ingredients

  • 6 strips turkey bacon
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 large chicken breasts
  • Flour (for dredging)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Cut turkey bacon into small pieces and fry in a skillet over medium-high heat until crispy (about 10 minutes). Remove and leave some fat in the pan.
  2. Slice chicken breasts in half lengthwise, season with garlic powder and pepper, then coat with flour.
  3. Cook chicken cutlets in the skillet with remaining turkey bacon fat for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add chicken broth, lemon juice, and butter; let bubble until reduced by half (3-4 minutes).
  5. Stir in heavy cream and return the cooked chicken and turkey bacon to the skillet. Cook for another 5 minutes or until everything is heated through and the sauce thickens.
