  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 package cream cheese, softened (8 oz)
  • 1 container whipped topping (12 oz)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 package Oreos, crushed (about 24 cookies)
  • to taste pectin-based gummy candies

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven as per the cake mix box instructions.
  2. In a large bowl, mix chocolate cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil until smooth using an electric mixer.
  3. Pour batter into a greased baking dish and bake according to package instructions until a toothpick comes out clean. Let it cool completely.
  4. In another bowl, beat softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth, then fold in whipped topping gently.
  5. Crumble the cooled cake into pieces in the baking dish and layer half at the bottom. Spread half of the cream mixture over it. Repeat with remaining cake and cream layers.
  6. Top with crushed Oreos and decorate with pectin-based gummy candies before chilling in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
