  • 4.2 oz powdered sugar
  • 2.5 tbsp strawberry puree
  • 1 tsp butter
  • 1 fl oz milk
  • 0.5 tsp lemon juice
  • 6 oz strawberry jam

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, cream together unsalted butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and mix well.
  2. Gradually incorporate flour and salt into the mixture until you achieve a smooth dough. Wrap in plastic wrap and chill for 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll out the chilled dough on a floured surface to 1/4 inch thick and cut into heart shapes.
  4. Place cookies on a lined baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes until lightly golden. Cool on a wire rack.
  5. For the filling, mix sifted powdered sugar, strawberry puree, butter, milk, and lemon juice until smooth. Spread strawberry jam on half of the cooled cookies, top with filling, and sandwich with another cookie.
