  • Wooden candy apple sticks or sturdy skewers

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the apples thoroughly. Insert sticks into the stem end and refrigerate on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  2. In a heavy saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water. Heat over medium-high until dissolved; then boil without stirring until it reaches 300°F.
  3. Remove from heat and divide into two pots or work in batches. Stir one packet of Kool-Aid into each batch.
  4. Pour both colored coatings onto parchment paper in alternating lines and swirl gently.
  5. Quickly dip each apple into the coating, allowing excess to drip off before placing them on another parchment-lined surface to harden (about 30 minutes).
