  • 1 box instant chocolate pudding mix (3.9 oz)

  • 3/4 cup brewed coffee, cooled
  • 2 cups Nestlé Toll House chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp salted butter
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your cake pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the cake mix and pudding mix.
  3. In another bowl, combine eggs, vanilla extract, vegetable oil, sour cream (or buttermilk), and cooled coffee until smooth.
  4. Gradually add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips and pour batter into the prepared pan.
  6. Bake for about 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool in pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  8. For ganache: Melt butter in a saucepan; whisk in cocoa powder, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.
  9. Pour ganache over cooled cake and spread evenly.
