  • 4 ears fresh corn (shucked)
  • 5 tablespoons butter (salted or unsalted)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Prepare a bowl of ice water.
  2. Add green beans to boiling water and cook for about 2 minutes until tender-crisp. Transfer immediately to ice water to stop cooking. Drain and set aside.
  3. Place shucked corn in boiling water, turn off heat, and let sit for about 5 minutes. Transfer to ice water; once cool enough to handle, remove kernels from cobs.
  4. In a sauté pan over medium heat, melt butter. Add corn kernels and green beans, seasoning with salt and pepper. Toss gently until warmed through.
  5. Just before serving, mix in three-quarters of the chopped herbs and adjust seasoning as needed.
