  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk (or Powdered Buttermilk: use 2 tablespoons with the dry ingredients + 1/2 cup water added with the wet)
  • 1/3 cup sour cream (lite is okay; plain Greek yogurt may be substituted)
  • 3 tablespoons canola or vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and pour it into a greased 9-inch springform cake pan. Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over the melted butter.
  3. Arrange pineapple slices in the pan, adding cherries in the center and cutouts.

  5. In another bowl, combine egg, buttermilk, sour cream, oil, and vanilla extract.
