- 1 tablespoon tamari or soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon fresh grated ginger
- 2 green onions, chopped
- black pepper
- 1/4 cup avocado or sesame oil
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/2 cup tamari or soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 large head broccoli, cut into florets
- 4 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 tablespoon chopped ginger
- chili flakes
- 1–2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground meat with tamari/soy sauce, grated ginger, chopped green onions, and black pepper. Mix gently until combined and roll into tablespoon-sized meatballs.
- Coat each meatball in cornstarch and set aside.
- Whisk together tamari/soy sauce, honey, and water in a separate bowl.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear the meatballs until browned on all sides (about 8 minutes). Remove from the skillet.
- In the same skillet, add broccoli florets and cook until slightly charred (about 5 minutes). Add garlic, ginger, and chili flakes; sauté for an additional 2 minutes.
- Pour in the sauce mixture and bring to a boil for 3-4 minutes until thickened. Return meatballs to the skillet; toss gently until coated.
